Based upon the ACER test results, students are short listed for an interview. Students will be interviewed by a panel of experienced professionals.
Note: Students wishing to study Music as an IB subject at the Queensland Academy for Creative Industries (QACI) need to have a solid base in music theory, as theory and composition form a significant component of the IB Music course. It is recommended that a student has achieved a level in music theory equivalent to AMEB Grade 3 Theory (in addition to their performance portfolio) by the time they attend their interview.
Students who cannot provide documentary evidence of having achieved up to AMEB Grade 3 Theory will be required to undertake a 30 minute Music Theory Test.
