Queensland Academies Isolated Students (QAIS) Bursary

On Friday 10 December 2010 the Premier announced a new category of support for rural and remote students attending one of the three specialised Queensland Academies in South East Queensland.

The new Queensland Academies Isolated Student Bursary will support highly capable students from rural and remote areas who are not eligible for the Living Away From Home Allowance Scheme (LAFHAS) to access financial support for travel and accommodation whilst attending an Academy.

Student Scholarships

The Queensland Academies Scholarship Program is open to students entering Year 10 at each of the three Academies.   Scholarships are valid for three years of enrolment and only apply to the annual International Baccalaureate fee and the annual text hire and resource fee.

A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year by each of the Academies.

Part Payment Plans for Queensland Academies Fees

A schedule of fee payments is forwarded to parents, after the deposit is paid. There are several options offered and any parent that is experiencing genuine financial difficulty is asked to speak to the Principal of the relevant Academy.
